Accommodation Review of Camaya

Wake up over rice terraces and to Mount Agung view

If you have the foresight to plan your trip to Bali and around Sidemen well in advance, then look into staying at the Camaya

This two-bedroom villa with the suspended hammock has been made so instafamous by Instagram that you need to book nearly a year in advance to stay for a maximum of two nights. But it’s worth the wait. Especially in the wee hours of the morning when the mist rises above the rice terraces with Mount Agung in the background.

The Camaya is two stories high and the ground floor is completely open aired. Downstairs contains one of the beds, a lounging area where you can relax and a hammock that you can gently sway as you while away the day in utter peace. And when you tire of swinging in your hammock, you can melt into your own private outdoor jacuzzi while still admiring the view.

Up on the second floor of this gorgeous eco-friendly villa is the master bedroom, which is sealed by glass, and has the access to the desired suspended net. When the alarm clock goes at 6am, just throw your blankets and cushions onto the hammock and settle yourself down with your loved ones to watch the sun rise from behind Mt Agung and over the rice terraces drenched in morning mist.

The Camaya is an extremely exclusive place to stay due to a lack of availability, however, the owners have recently built four more of these luxurious villas so that more people can have the wonderful experience of staying there.
