Visit Rome in 1 day

Italy

Vatican City Vatican City

Although travelers think and do not recommend visiting only a city for a day, it is possible, and here I am going to tell you that having a long stopover in a world airport can be a good opportunity to get to know a new city, even for a few hours.

I had a 14-hour stopover in Rome and I wanted to take advantage of them to get to know the city as much as possible. When getting off the plane I went directly to the tourist office to see how to get to the city center, they told me how to get to Termini (bus and train station) by bus and then 45 minutes and 6 euros was there. I walked 20 minutes to the Fontana di Trevi, the truth that very beautiful, glamorous and with some magic. I arrived almost at 10 o'clock in the morning and there were not so many tourists, good time to take pictures and throw coins to luck.

Arriving at the great Colosseum after the fountain was very easy and fast. 15 more minutes of walking and on the way I found the Roman forum, I saw the Temple of Saturn and more temples. There are many ruins everywhere, full.

I continued the route to the Vatican City, so I decided to buy a ticket in one of the tour buses; although if I had had more time I was walking, the distances are not great.

Finally, I visited the Pantheon in Rome, which you can enter for free. A place dedicated to all the gods, of the most beautiful and best preserved of all Rome.

And obviously, I bought a gelato, I could not lose it!

Any question or query do not hesitate to write me!
