Cayo Levisa, Cuba

Next morning, we decided to visit Cayo Levisa. Many people recommended this one-day trip from Viñales, and I must say it is was definitely worth it.

At the tourism office in Viñales, you can buy a 1-day tour to Cayo Levisa for 35 cuc (includes: transport and lunch). First, you take a 1-hour bus to the coast, and then you grab a mini boat that takes 30 min to the island.

Cayo Levisa is white sand beaches with not many people. There is a hotel in the island in case you want to stay one night there, and one restaurant. We highly recommend doing snorkeling there.

Actually, there is an hotel at the island. By the way, "Cayo" means little island. The hotel is called "Hotel Cayo Levisa" :) I know, not much fun on that name for a tropical place, but, it looked quite amazing.

We saw some travelers staying there and the way they welcomed them was really nice. Take into account that the island is so small, that only the hotel staff live there and there aren't any shopping malls or anything else rather than the hotel and a couple old cabins.

I've heard that snorkeling there is amazing, super clear waters and lots of bio diversity to see!
