Mui Ne Sand Dunes

The unique Sand Dunes of Mui Ne, Vietnam

Looking like something that has been plucked out of the Sahara Desert and mistakenly placed in a beachside town of Southern Vietnam, the unique Red Sand Dunes of Mui Ne should make it onto your Vietnam itinerary.

located around 3km outside of Mui Ne town, it is simple to get to the sand dunes. Option include taxis, rental buggies, group organised tours or our personal favourite cycling. It'll take roughly 35 minutes to cycle to the dunes from town. You can park your bike for free in one of the Cafes just outside of the dunes but you may feel obliged to purchase something - grab a water and icecream and enjoy on the dunes!

The area where the dunes can be found stretch for around a kilometer running parallel with the beach. With plenty of space to roam you can enjoy the dunes in peace & serenity atop one of the many dunes, you can rent a slide mat for next to nothing and let out your inner child, or you can grab a Saigon beer from a cafe outside and join the flocks of people that marvel at the dunes during sunset.
