Beautiful Bellever

Dartmoor Camping

Bellever Woods

Escaping a busy Plymouth just a 30 minute drive away. Believer Woods, just north of Princetown hosts a gorgeous river, forest and endless moorland views to enjoy. Myself and Gavlar partook in an evening of camping, fires, fajitas, rompant horses and devils lettuce intoxicated chaps further up stream. With a forecast of rain and wind we ventured into the weekend regardless of weather. Not only did we manage to avoid the rain and wind, but we were hit heavily but sunshine and rays. What a win. What a day! What a day. With friendly folk as we arrived, offering us an already paid for parking ticket, a £3 charity shop camping chair found hours before, all the signs pointed towards a succulent weekend. That is exactly what we received. Minus the doobie brothers, a river consumed sleeping bag and horses getting fruity we enjoyed every minute. Gary advised I did not throw my sleeping bag over the river, I praised my throwing arm. Obvious result, the bag went in, BUT! The inners did not get wet. What a win.

Highly reccomend this quiet, quaint and breathtaking location for a getaway camp. Either for an escape or a frequent spot, it has all you could possibly ask for in a spectacular space for some nature and peace.
