What was formerly an impoverished village called Kampung Jodipan was transformed into an oasis of colors and art, breaking through the stereotype of all slums being polluted and unhealthy;

This colorful village was a result of 8 local event management students applying their class skills to the real world and patterning up with A paint company to make it what it is today, and now attracts thousands of tourists.

As a friend and I were exploring the gems of East Java, we thought to pay this Rainbow village a visit too,

We got there a little after the sun had set and the sky was overcasted, leaving us with very low light but captured a few good shots and ate our dinner at a local restaurant in the same village, the people were really friendly and welcoming.
