From Lombok to the Komodo Dragons

An adventurous Cruise

At the beginning we were so skeptical: “Four Days on a tiny boat somewhere along Indonesia... sounds pretty scary.” But luckely we sad “why not, it could be an awesome adventure” and indeed it was one.

So we took the boat in the morning from Gili Trawangan (where we stayed for the night) to Lombok and waited in the so called “Lombok Cafe” for all the passengers to arrive. After three hours we finally went to the harbor and there we saw our little boat for the first time.

After everybody was on deck and the luggage stored away the cruise began.

Our little sleeping space. Which was quiet nice because we could see the stars in the night. And I tell you i’ve never seen more stars before.

Our first stop was around Sugian where we could snorkel for the first time. But it wasn’t long because we had to pass a long way till the morning. So after an easy but yummy Dinner we went to bed and the first night on the boat started. The boat rocked so hard we literally thought we gonna die. But somehow our little boat managed not to sink and we woke up to a beautiful calm sea.

After breakfast we swam to an tiny island were we visited a waterfall and afterwards we snorkeled around the boat. Than we continued the cruise and didn’t stopped till the next morning.

The third day was the best one. After breakfast we arrived at the Manta Point and could swim with Manta-rays what was freaking amazing. Those animals are so beautiful and i’m so greatfull i got the opportunity to fly with them through the sea.

After Manta Point we went to the Komodo Island and visited those “Dinosaurs”. The Komodo Dragons look so scary and even though they just layed in the shades, they are really dangerous.

After Lunch on the boat we headed to Pink Beach where we snorkeled. There were so many different kinds of fish it was crazy. I would recommend to snorkel there if you love sea life.

For the sunset we went to the Butterfly Viewpoint. It was for sure my favorite spot in Indonesia.

On the last day we got around lunchtime to Labuan Bajo where the cruise ended.

It was one amazing adventure and i would definitely recommend it. But just if you don’t get seasick easily.
