Beautiful views across the city
For me personally, when I’m on holiday discovering somewhere really unexpected that ends up being your new favourite place is great and has become a part of my holiday ‘must’. Somewhere you haven’t researched beforehand and analysed exactly what you’re going to have from the menu, read reviews on whether it has the ‘best views of the city’ or just generally ticks every box on your required list (I’m guilty of this). A place that you happen to walk by and take a risk. Well, the 360Bar in Budapest was exactly that place.
It was in the height of summer so we really wanted a rooftop bar, that had a great chilled out vibe with a band playing, a refreshing cocktail list, delicious food options and a great view of the city. We hadn’t looked anywhere up but we happened to overhear a group of friends say ‘shall we try this rooftop bar out, I’ve heard it’s got a band playing tonight’, naturally my ears pricked up and we all decided to follow suit and headed in. It was free to get in, and luckily you didn’t have to reserve a table which was perfect!
It really was the perfect way to end a long day exploring Budapest! The live music created a great atmosphere whilst we sat with our cocktails overlooking the panoramic view across the city, you could tell it was a place that was known well by the locals and was clearly a hotspot that we had happened to stumble across.
