Camp at Dimond O Campground

Where to Stay Outside of Yosemite National Park

The second campsite that we stayed at during our trip to Yosemite National Park was Dimond O.

It was only 15 minutes drive from the park entrance, making it a much more practical option for a couple of days of re-entering the Park, compared to our earlier stay at Cherry Valley Campground.

As we found with almost all of the campsites we stayed at during #TheBigTrip, they give you everything you need. With each site, you get a picnic bench, bear box, fire pit, raised tent site, parking, and restrooms/taps close-by.

You still have about an hours drive to get back onto the Valley Loop, but as with Cherry Valley, the distance seems to put enough people off to leave plenty of sites available to book at any time. If you need something last minute, try Dimond O.

Address: Evergreen Rd, Groveland, CA 95321, USA

Price: $26 per night (single-family sight)
