From Uzbekistan to Tajikistan

Fan mountains Tajikistan

Tajikistan: 93% of the country made of Mountains

We travelled overland through Tajikistan, which was one of the most epic things I have ever done or seen.

coming from Uzbekistan the roads after the border were surprisingly good and well built. well, it is not really hard to beat the streets with 1 m deep potholes in Uzbekistan, but that’s a different story.

It was becoming dark already as we entered the Country, because all the friendly people at the border held us up for some chats and for taking pictures with us. So when we arrived at the fan mountains it was already dark and around 1am in the morning. In the dark we could only guess that there were some mountains around us so we decided to set our camp and take a glimpse at the stars before going to bed. The sky was clear and the millions of stars that showed themselves were absolutely stunning.

exhausted I crawled into my tent and ate half a cookie and fell asleep eating the other half. What we woke up too was a picturebook view.....

❤️Iskanderkul lake ❤️Iskanderkul lake

Clear water and no people yet roads to discover and drive around the lake. Mountains 5000m high surrounding the lake.
