Comfortable and good value travel

Day set up

This sleeper train connects Bangkok to Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand across a relaxing twelve hour journey. Departing from Hua Lamphong station, conveniently in the centre of Bangkok there could not be an easier way to travel between the cities. You’d be surprised at what a good nights sleep it is too!

These modern, Chinese designed, trains make your journey as restful as possible. The efficient air con keeps the carriages cool and you are given a comfortable, large seat for the start of your journey. After a couple of hours, the guard transforms the carriage into bunk beds. There’s fresh bedding provided as well as a privacy curtain.

The beds are really comfortable and you can store your bags under the lower bunk, by your feet, or on a small shelf. Ear plugs and an eye mask are a must; the lights are kept on for security throughout the journey. At the end of each carriage there are clean toilet faculties and wash basins. You have the option to pre purchase the onboard breakfast, which is delivered to your seat, although it’s cheaper to buy from a shop before you travel.

Although flying is faster, the night train is cheaper, better for the environment and saves you a nights accommodation too!
