Oops! Wrong Durban
The beach of Salt Rock
I thought it would be great to surprise one of my best friends with a trip to the coastal city of Durban in South Africa. I booked the Airbnb, got a car and we left.
The drive from Johannesburg is along the N3 which is a treat. The drive is filled with beautiful scenery, windy roads climbing hills, and not too much traffic if you pick the right path. Th. Only thing is, we realised far too late that the room I booked was 2 hours out of Durban. This meant we were heading into the unknown.
Turned out the apartment had a spectacular view of the beach and Salt Rock (Where we landed up) isn’t overly populated around this time of year which means a lot of space on the beach, no traffic, easy access to spontaneously chosen activities and an overall calmness. We don’t regret the treat at all and I’m sure we’ll be back there soon. In the meantime I’ve posted my Youtube video about it🙏🏾🙏🏾 on Fishcat Zombie.
