A Day At The Griffith Observatory.

Seeing one of the best LA skyline views

The Griffith Observatory

Another place I had been told was a must see when in Los Angeles. If you are interested in the constellations, our solar systems, our planets and why the earth rotates then this is your place. Although the interior of the observatory is not always open to the general public there is still so much to do at the observatory. For one just seeing it is already truly remarkable as it is an icon of LA. If you walk around the observatory you’ll have stunning views of the LA skyline as well as the surrounding areas. If you want the best of views of the LA skyline and just witness the sheer size of LA then the Observatory gives you the best vantage option. The walk around the observatory is nice in itself and after you have completed that you can continue your journey towards the Hollywood sign, which is visible from the observatory. At the observatory you’ll have unimpeded views of the Hollywood sign, the Pacific Ocean. All this can be seen from the observatory and whilst hiking back down or towards the Hollywood sign. If you were to create an itinerary I would highly include the observatory even though it is further away from the city center of LA. It’s a place you really shouldn’t leave out of your trip and you’ll realize why once you get there. You can spend an hour or so at the observatory and then hike towards the famed Hollywood sign. Conquering two things at one location.
