Iberostar Paseo de Gracia, Barcelona

Amazing breakfast at the terrace!

When going on a city trip, the most important thing for me is to stay at a hotel that is centrally located. This way I can explore the city by foot, passing by highlights and sights worth seeing while walking around town.

In Barcelona, there are plenty of great hotel options, but few have such an ideal location as the Iberostar Paseo de Gracia. Opened in early 2018, this newly refurbished historical landmark was constructed more than 70 years ago, before leading other lives as a hotel and a bank. Right at the Placa de Catalunya, you can see the Ramblas from your hotel room window. Located in the affluent Paseo de Gracia neighborhood, the hotel is ideally situated for tourists, as it’s a short walk to many of the city’s main attractions, such as Antoni Gaudi’s famous Casa Batllo, the Gothic Quarter, the city’s Las Ramblas and a variety of buzzing restaurants. There are shopping options galore, with a massive department store, a supermarket and plenty of boutiques just steps away. Other easy walkable highlights are the famous Casa Batllo, which is right around the corner and Parc de la Ciutadella with the Arc de Triomphe (yes, Barcelona also has one).

Rooftop pool with great views! Rooftop pool with great views!

The hotel itself has an amazing interior, you enter a gorgeous lobby with high ceilings and a combination of white walls and yellow gold tones in the sofas and accessories. It features a neoclassical facade, created with local stone, while the building’s tower showcases neo-baroque design and sculptures by artist Frederic Mares.

I was welcomed by the most friendly hotel staff who went out of their way constantly to make sure my stay was superb.

I slept in the Deluxe Terrace room, which was very spacious and had the most comfortable king sized bed. The best thing about this room was the terrace, with a view over looking the city. Was ideal for enjoying breakfast in the mornings. Breakfast is my favourite meal and Iberostar Paseo de Gracia served one of the best breakfasts I've ever had.

loved the room! loved the room!

On sunny days the rooftop terrace of the hotel is THE place to be. Either have a drink while enjoying the views, or if you happen to be there during the hot summer, just have a dip in the amazing pool!
